It is that time of year again where we need parents of seminary age students to go in and register their students for the fall 2022 Semester. Remember that students start attending seminary in their Grade 9 year. This allows us to plan how many classes are required, any special needs students may have, and work to call the appropriate number of teachers. Please take the time over the next week to register your students by going to myseminary.churchofjesuschrist.org.
While you are at myseminary.churchofjesuschrist.org look at how your students are progressing in Seminary this semester. Remember that students need 75% attendance, and they need to read the Old Testament (and mark it down) 75% of the semester days. If your student does require any make up work, please reach out to their teacher.
Please reach out to Shane.ellis@gmail.com with any questions.

Seminary Update Announcement:
With a new Semester of Seminary starting on January 4th, there is one significant change to the requirements of students in order to receive credit and ultimately graduate from Seminary. Students are still required to attend 75% of the Seminary classes and complete 75% of the course work, but they are now also required to read the book of study, the D&C this semester, 75% of the semester calendar days.
Students will be required to set a goal in the Seminary and Institute App for daily reading, and then record each day when they have met that goal. We encourage parents to help their seminary students set this goal now, and learn how to record their readings, so as not to fall behind with this requirement.
This change is to help students develop a habit of daily scripture study.
Important Seminary Change:
After careful consideration of the current escalation of the Pandemic over the last week, the Stake Presidency has made the decision not to return to face to face Seminary lessons starting this Thursday as previously announced. This means that Zoom meetings will continue to be held on Thursdays and Fridays, and Canvas lessons will be completed Monday - Wednesday. Emails will be going out to Parents and students to inform them of this change.
No trips or baptisms currently scheduled due to Covid-19 restrictions
